Do you remember being the new kid in school?

Not really knowing anybody or having friends? Sitting all alone at the lunch table?
Some days are still seem like that.

When I saw the title, I thought, "She joined Facebook!" but I see no evidence of that...

The fur-girls and I spent the day just hanging out while I knitted and spun a bit. If time and space weren't issues, you would have been very welcome to join us.

I just signed in & added you as my friend... see, you aren't sitting alone! :)

I'm sitting at your table, so I don't know what you're talking about, ya goof. ;-)

Doesn't everyone go through that? Especially in this day and age.

Well I spent the evening last night sitting on a steel bench, with Metallica pounding my eardrums into melted Jello, surrounded by drunks, some of whom were making a hobby of pouring beer down my neck.

In the midst of this an occasional auto race broke out, but since the event was being televised live, there were lengthy periods between the 20-lap features, including mind-bogglingly inane interviews with the first five finishers of each race.

One race only had six vehicles in it, so only one driver didn't get to tell us how much he appreciated Foobar Tire Company and "all the fine folks at Jack's Auto Repair" whose companies' names were on the hood and back fenders. The fenders fell off, or were knocked off, during the race, so...

Sitting alone at a lunch table doesn't sound all that bad, actually.
